Police charge Lenoir man with 7 felonies, seize 151 grams of meth

LENOIR— A Lenoir man faces seven felony drug charges after a tip from the community led the Lenoir Police Department’s Narcotics Unit and the LPD Criminal Investigations Division to an investigation, according to a press release.

Brad William Clark, of Lenoir, was arrested and charged with one count of trafficking methamphetamine, one count of possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver a schedule I controlled substance, one count of possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver schedule VI controlled substance, one count of maintaining a dwelling for controlled substance, one count of manufacture schedule I controlled substance, one count of manufacture marijuana and one count of possession of a stolen firearm, according to the release.

During the Oct. 18 search, investigators found and seized 151.1 grams of methamphetamine, 35.3 grams of marijuana, 1.7 grams of mushrooms, 17 Xanax pills, three pistols and an AK-47 assault rifle, according to the release.

One of the pistols is believed to be stolen property from Bedford County, Va.

The total value of the seized drugs amounts to $22,945, according to the release and the North Carolina State guidelines.

The search was conducted at Clark’s residence on the 1100 block of Pennton Avenue in Lenoir.

Clark is held on a secured bond of $350,000, and his first appearance in court occurred Thursday.
