President Trump is calling on Japanese automakers to build more vehicles here in the U.S.

During an event with Japanese business executives Sunday, the president urged members of the car industry to build their vehicles in the U.S. instead of merely shipping them over.

The president added, during his trip to Japan he and his Japanese counterpart would also be discussing changes to trade practices.

“I have to say that for the last many decades, Japan has been winning and you do know that,” the president said.
