The company has recently commissioned a dedicated manufacturing facility for crash guards in Noida.
The plant is equipped to manufacture 50,000 units, which could scale up to 1 lakh units of guard kits, and the company is planning to invest around Rs 22 crore on the plant.
Steelbird is supplying high quality crash guards to major two-wheeler manufacturers in the country, and it is planning to export them as well.According to Shailendra Jain, Global Group Head - Sales & Marketing, Steelbird, “The state-of-the-art plant is a strategic move by the group to complement our other products range like helmets, side boxes and rider accessories. It will enable us to chalk out next level growth map for the company, tapping on new opportunities available in the similar industry.”
“Taking a clue of growing demands of two-wheelers in the country, Steelbird has also launched a dedicated range of guard kits for the domestic retail market as well. The Indian two-wheeler market is growing at a fast pace year-on-year paving way for growth of supplement products line.”
“India has overtaken China to emerge as the world’s biggest market for two wheelers. Last financial year, 17.7 million bikes and scooters were sold in India, making a lucrative proposition for us to get hold of this growing segment.”

“The trend of scooter sales has fueled the demand of crash guards and other similar products, which are constituting a large part of the accessories market subtly,” added Jain.
Besides Crash Guards, Steelbird is also expanding its helmets portfolio by adding 8-10 new variants every month. The brand is one of the major global players in helmets supplying to almost all domestic and international brands and OEMs.
