Arrests for sale and manufacture of drugs linked to bikies

Four people, including two Bandidos outlaw motorcycle gang members, have been arrested for alleged drug-dealing and manufacture in Albury.

Police raided a Kooba Street home on Wednesday morning, allegedly seizing a large amount of drugs, mainly methamphetamine.

Detective Inspector Winston Woodward said the Albury drug unit had been working on Strike Force Stoutland over the past four months.

The case of Alina Yosif, 26, was briefly mentioned in Albury Bail Court on Wednesday, but she did not appear.

Her lawyer said Yosif would apply for bail tomorrow and the other accused – men aged 34, 26 and 66 years old – would also appear.

“It is a nice ongoing effort between raptor police and the Albury drug unit which has brought about the charges,” Inspector Woodward said.

“Ice is a problem across NSW so anytime that we can bring people before the courts for the possession and supply of ice is a bonus.”

He confirmed the arrests were linked to raids by the NSW outlaw bikie gang squad in North Albury on November 22.

The 34-year-old man, a member of the Bandidos outlaw motorcycle gang, was charged with five counts of supply prohibited drug, two counts of offer to supply prohibited drug, knowingly take part in the supply of prohibited drug, two counts of fraud, and participate in a criminal group to contribute criminal activity.

The 66-year-old man was charged with participate in a criminal group, six counts of agree to supply a prohibited drug, three counts of supply prohibited drug, and knowingly take part of supply prohibited drug,

The 26-year- old woman was charged take part in supply prohibited drug greater indictable quantity, supply recklessly deal with proceeds of crime, use false document to obtain property, and participate in a criminal group to contribute criminal activity.

A 26-year-old Bandidos member was arrested in Wangaratta and extradited to Albury where he was charged with dishonestly obtain financial advantage by deception, deal with identity information with intent to commit an indictable offence, deal with identity information with intent to commit an indictable offence, use false document to obtain property and participate in a criminal group to contribute criminal activity.
