Man sentenced for attempting to manufacture child porn

CLARE COUNTY, MI (WNEM) -

A Mid-Michigan man was sentenced for trying to create child pornography.

Nathan Bowling, 31, of Harrison was sentenced Thursday, Dec. 21 to 210 months in prison for the attempted manufacture of child pornography.

Investigators said on Oct. 7, 2016 Bowling offered to purchase a cell phone for an individual he thought was a 17-year-old female in the Philippines if she showed her genitals for him on Skype.

Bowling also admitted to proposition two other girls he believed to be minor to “lasciviously exhibit their genitals over Skype,” according to investigators.
