NEW DELHI: South Korean car manufacturer Hyundai Motor India is planning to manufacturer two million cars in the next three years, the company said in a press release. The company also announced that it has rolled out 8 Millionth car. The company achieved the milestone with the rollout of the Creta. Since inception, Hyundai Motor India has sold 5,300,967 units in the Indian market and 2,703,581 units in exports globally.
The company rolled out its first Millionth car, Santro, in 2006, just 8 years after commencement of commercial production in 1998.
Thereafter, production picked up momentum with the next million milestone being achieved within an average of 18-19 months.YK Koo, managing director and CEO, Hyundai Motor India, said, “Evolution of a revolution is Hyundai’s DNA.
