Steeven Soundara, 29, Minot, is charged in district court in Minot with Class B felony possession with intent to deliver marijuana and Class B felony manufacture of marijuana – butane shatter. He is also charged with Class A misdemeanor possession of psilocybin mushrooms, Class A misdemeanor possession of marijuana paraphernalia, and Class B misdemeanor use of marijuana paraphernalia to ingest marijuana.

According to the probable cause affidavit filed with the court, a property manager contacted the Ward County Narcotics Task Force on Tuesday after he received a complaint about a marijuana smell at 2208 33rd Street NW. Task force officers investigated and found the marijuana smell was coming from apartment 307. Soundara lives in the apartment along with three roommates. They consented to a search of the apartment, which produced marijuana, butane shatter, a digital scale with marijuana residue and various smoking devices with drug residue.

Soundara told police the marijuana was his and he sold the marijuana to a few of his friends. He told police he made the marijuana shatter using the butane method. Police found several butane cans in the apartment.

Soundara made an initial appearance in district court before Judge Stacy Louser on Wednesday.
