An eighteen-year-old girl from Coimbatore has been garnering a whole lot of love online for producing reusable cotton sanitary napkins. Ishana decided to manufacture eco-friendly sanitary napkins since she has often faced health issues after using ordinary pads that are available in the market.
So as to produce the cotton pads, Ishana manufactures them at a small set up with her pre-requisite materials including a sewing machine and other essential equipments, news agency ANI reports.
Speaking of her innovative idea, Ishana said, "I was inspired to produce cotton sanitary napkins after I faced health problems due to the use of ordinary pads. Now, I want to educate more and more people on how to make sanitary pads with cotton cloth."
Ishana also added that the chemical gel used in ordinary sanitary napkins can prove to be hazardous for women.
