Sheriff announces third wave of 'Operation Impact' drug arrests - Wakeweekly

LOUISBURG — The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office said Wednesday that as part of its Operation Impact investigation, 19 more people have been arrested in connection with the sale of illegal drugs.

This is the third wave of arrests in the probe since September. As it had the two previous times, the sheriff’s office said Wednesday that more arrests are expected.

The latest phase of the investigation focused on drug sales around Bunn. The first two focused on Franklinton and Louisburg.

“Phase III of Operation Impact was a strategic initiative that focused on individuals selling drugs in our neighborhoods throughout the Bunn area,” Sheriff Kent Winstead said in a statement. “The plan to address drug activity in all our communities will continue.”

The sheriff’s office said deputies identified suspects through citizen complaints and other intelligence. The Drug Enforcement Administration, the N.C. Alcohol Law Enforcement and the Bunn Police Department assisted.

To date, 55 people have been arrested as part of the operation.

The arrests announced this week are:

• Cynthia Marie Foster, 56, of Rogers Drive, Bunn: possession with intent to sell or deliver cocaine and two counts each selling cocaine, possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver cocaine and maintaining a vehicle or dwelling place for a controlled substance; $20,000 bond.

• Schyler Don Quarrious Williams, 21, of Sledge Road, Louisburg: possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver marijuana and two counts each selling cocaine and possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver cocaine; $72,000 bond.

• Kevin Dunston, 49, of Queens Drive, Louisburg: selling cocaine; $5,000 bond.

• Jerome Usher Jr., 34, of Alford Mill Road, Bunn: selling a schedule II controlled substance, possession with intent to sell or deliver marijuana and maintaining a vehicle or dwelling place for a controlled substance; $20,000 bond.

• William Jamel Andrews, 35, of Sunny Slope Street, Zebulon: maintaining a vehicle or dwelling place for a controlled substance and two counts each possession with intent to sell or deliver marijuana and selling marijuana; $30,000 bond.

• Trevon Alton Knight, 24, of Little River Circle, Zebulon: selling marijuana, maintaining a vehicle or dwelling place for a controlled substance and possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver marijuana; $20,000 bond.

• David Neshorne Smith, 35, of Arnold Road, Louisburg: maintaining a vehicle or dwelling place for a controlled substance, two counts conspiracy to sell or deliver a schedule II controlled substance and three counts each selling cocaine and possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver a schedule III controlled substance; $25,000 bond.

• Quincy Jamario Bolden, 32, of Howard Tant Road, Zebulon: maintaining a vehicle or dwelling place for a controlled substance, possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a school and two counts each selling marijuana and possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver a schedule VI controlled substance; $65,000 bond.

• James Otis Dunston, 73, of Queens Drive, Bunn: possession of a controlled substance in jail or prison, felony possession of cocaine and four counts conspiracy to sell or deliver cocaine: $50,000 bond.

• Lola Veronica Jones, 51, of Sykes Road, Spring Home: possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver cocaine, maintaining a vehicle or dwelling place for a controlled substance and selling cocaine: $25,000 bond.

• Joseph Bettis Jr., 34, of Ridge Haven Drive, Wendell: two counts each possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver cocaine, selling cocaine and maintaining a vehicle or dwelling place for a controlled substance; bond unavailable.

• Jeremy Alexander Hicks, 32, of Chickenhouse Drive, Louisburg: possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver marijuana, selling marijuana and maintaining a vehicle or dwelling place for a controlled substance; $25,000 bond.

• Robert Cequon Fletcher, 62, of West Barbee Street, Zebulon: maintaining a vehicle or dwelling place for a controlled substance, possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver a schedule II controlled substance and two counts trafficking in opium or heroin; $25,000 bond.

• Justin Deon Richardson, 29, of Dykes Way, Louisburg: possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver heroin, selling heroin, possession with intent to sell or deliver marijuana, selling marijuana, possession with intent to sell or deliver cocaine, selling cocaine and two counts maintaining a vehicle or dwelling place for a controlled substance; $100,000 bond.

• Jo Ann Clemonts, 49, of Cambridge Drive, Franklinton: three counts trafficking in opium or heroin; $100,000 bond.

• Andrew Zayquawn Cates, 21, of Marless Drive, Franklinton: possession with intent to sell or deliver marijuana and sell or deliver marijuana; $30,000 bond.

• Rico Dashawn Brooks, 33, of Walter Grissom Road, Kittrell: possession of a firearm by a felon, possession of a stolen firearm and two counts each possession with intent to sell or deliver cocaine, sell or deliver cocaine and maintaining vehicle or dwelling place for a controlled substance; $100,000 bond.

• Michael Junior Harris, 39, of Vicksboro Road, Henderson: possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver a schedule II controlled substance, maintaining a vehicle or dwelling place for a controlled substance and selling cocaine; $50,000 bond.

• Christopher Quatrell Hodge, 29, of Shepard School Road, Zebulon: selling cocaine, possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver a schedule II controlled substance, maintaining a vehicle or dwelling place for a controlled substance and conspiracy to sell or deliver a schedule II controlled substance; $80,000 bond.
