A bicycle was stolen from a popular cycle shop in The Villages.
The older model green and white Giant Nutrek bicycle valued at $250 had been brought in for a tuneup and had been placed inside a trailer near the rear entrance of Village Cycles at La Plaza Grande in the Spanish Springs area, according to an incident report from the Lady Lake Police Department.
The bicycle was stolen shortly before 4 p.m. Wednesday by a white male who rode away on it, the report said. The man had been wearing blue jeans, wearing a black T-shirt and carrying a backpack.
Video showed two men riding up on bicycles and looking at the bicycle. One of the men returned a short time later and rode away on the bicycle.
