Weekly grant cycle established - Journal Record

OKLAHOMA CITY – The Central Oklahoma Funders’ Roundtable has opened a weekly grant cycle for organizations affected by the COVID-19 virus.

Collaborating to fund the needs of central Oklahoma nonprofits, the CFOR, administered by the Communities Foundation of Oklahoma, includes philanthropic funders committed to ensuring maximum impact for organizations most in need.

“The impact and resulting economic fallout from the novel coronavirus is causing significant hardship for many central Oklahoma nonprofit partners,” said Communities Foundation of Oklahoma Executive Director, Teresa Rose Crook. “Through this weekly grant cycle, the COFR hopes to deliver resources to groups who directly help those adversely effected by the COVID19 crisis.”

Nonprofit organizations providing food, shelter, immediate medical or essential childcare needs within Oklahoma County and the contiguous counties will be considered. The grant cycle will open each Monday and close each Friday with recipients being notified on the following Wednesday. This opportunity will remain open for as long as funding is available.

The initial philanthropic funders are McLaughlin Family Foundation, Sarkeys Foundation, Inasmuch Foundation and United Way of Central Oklahoma.
