El Paso County deputies identify pedal cycle rider who died after being hit by dump truck - El Paso Times

Deputies on Thursday released the name of a man who died after being struck by a dump truck earlier this week.

Victor Aguirre, 38, was identified as the man who was hit as he rode a pedal cycle about 7:40 a.m. Monday near the intersection of Rojas Drive and Eastlake Boulevard, El Paso County Sheriff’s Office officials said.

Aguirre sustained life-threatening injuries and was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Officials are asking anyone who witnessed the fatal accident or has information on it to call the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office at 915-832-4408.
