(MENAFN) The managing director of Pars Oil and Gas Company (POGC) which is in charge of developing the field declared that the everyday production of gas in Iran's South Pars gas field has arrived at 700 million cubic meters (mcm).
Stating the 94 percent understanding of the company's growth plans for the preceding Iranian agenda year (ended on March 19) Mohammad Meshkinfam stated that "Of the total 39 offshore platforms of the South Pars development project, 37 have gone operational while 12 of the complex's total onshore refineries are also currently operating.".
ILNA accounted that Meshkinfam underscored that though the growth part of the scheme is nearly finished the additional important part which is preserving the manufacture level has just begun, uttering, "Currently, a large part of the country's energy is supplied from this joint field, so we have a big responsibility.".
Meshkinfam stated that his company plans to build up other assets and increase the revival factor of the presently active wells in the South Pars field, to carry on to provide 75 percent of the country's gas requirements from this field in the next 25 years.
