Delpharm Invests € 28M on Sterile Line to Manufacture Prefilled Syringes - Contract Pharma

Delpharm is investing € 28 million on a sterile line to manufacture prefilled syringes at its plant in Tours, France.

Delpharm began the project in April 2021 to create a new building dedicated to these dosage forms and will start manufacturing in 1Q23. With state-of-the-art equipment including isolator technology, Delpharm Tours will be able to produce between 25 and 30 million syringes per year.

The company will offer a wide range of formats and syringes and the manufacturing plant will provide glass, plastic, subcutaneous, intra-nasal and oro-mucosal prefilled syringes with formats from 1 ml to 50 ml.

Headquartered in France, Delpharm is a CDMO that serves 120 countries.

Stéphane Lepeu, Delpharm's Chief Commercial Officer, said, "Delpharm is convinced that this additional capacity in prefilled syringes is a key investment to answer the growing need on this strategic dosage form.”

This investment will enable Delpharm to recruit an additional 20 to 40 people at its Tours site.
