SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. (WKBN) – A company is closing its cheese manufacturing plant in Lawrence County, according to a WARN notice filed with the state.
Ornua Ingredients Inc., located at 2850 Perry Highway in Slippery Rock, is closing.
The notice states that the plant is closing due to the unforeseen cancellation of a manufacturing agreement with its sole customer at the Slippery Rock plant.
According to the WARN (Worker Adjustment Retraining Notification) notice, 66 employees will be affected by the permanent closure. All terminations are expected to happen by April 23.
