Two San Angelo women in their 50s were arrested on suspicion of manufacture/delivery of heroin on Thursday, according to a San Angelo Police Department news release.
The suspects, Eva Gaitan, 53, and Rosalie Perez, 51, were charged with manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance penalty group 1 between 4-200 grams, police said. The charge is a first-degree felony punishable by five to 99 years in prison and a fine up to $10,000.
The women were arrested after the San Angelo Police Department Street Crimes Unit executed a warrant to search a residence in the 200 block of East 3rd Street.
Perez was released on bond Thursday. Gaitan remained in the Tom Green County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bail Thursday afternoon.
