Fox News snags first Trump town hall of 2020 election cycle - Washington Examiner

President Trump will participate in a town hall on Fox News next week, the network announced Friday.

The event, set for a Thursday evening on March 5, will be moderated by Special Report host Bret Baier and The Story's Martha MacCallum and will go from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The town hall will take place at the Scranton Cultural Center in Scranton, Pennsylvania.

“We are pleased to host incumbent President Donald Trump for his first town hall of the 2020 election cycle," Jay Wallace, president and executive editor of Fox News Media, said in a press release. "As Americans continue deliberating their choice for president, FOX News Channel is proud to provide a platform for candidates across the political spectrum to inform the public on their stances.”

This will be the president's first town hall during the 2020 election cycle. Fox News hosted eight such events for the Democrats vying to take on the president in November's general election.

Moments after the town hall event was announced, the president ridiculed the network's polling arm, which he has repeatedly attacked.

"Worst Polls, just like in 2016 when they were so far off the mark, are the @FoxNews Polls. Why doesn’t Fox finally get a competent Polling Company?" the president tweeted Friday morning.

The president slammed Fox News's polling in November and December of last year.
