(MENAFN) A government report revealed on Monday, October 19, that South Korea's automotive production, export and local sale augmented in September, revealing symbols of rebound from the negative consequence of the coronavirus outburst.
According to the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, the number of exported cars stood at 193,081 last month, increased 14.8 percent from a year earlier.
It was the first recovery since the coronavirus pandemic shook the international economy. The car export dropped 44.6 percent in April, 57.5 percent in May, 40.1 percent in June, 9.2 percent in July and 19.5 percent in August correspondingly.
In terms of value, the automobile consignment got 23.2 percent over the year to USD3.8 billion, last month.
