Students at the Erie County Technical School are manufacturing the awards to be handed out at the 'What's So Cool About Manufacturing' event.
Northwest Industrial Resource Center is hosting the inaugural 'What's So Cool About Manufacturing' student video contest. The goal of the program is to introduce 7th and 8th-grade students to cool manufacturing jobs and career opportunities.
The students produced videos of the companies they were assigned to and are putting together videos showcasing their experiences. Today, students at Erie County Technical School are making the awards that will be handed out.
Spencer Ross, Student Designer at Erie County Technical School, says, "...it's taking the drawings we make then transfer that to the physical world so it can become a product you can use in life".
Three days of online voting will take place February 26th through the 28th at whatssocool.org to choose the best video. The awards gala will take place on March 8th.
